It took awhile but some new items finally landed on island that will have a big impact on my little gym!
-Downclimbs: easy to grab handles near the top of routes so we can reduce any unnecessary falling from up high. These not only look cool (look at that arrow), but are spaced out enough to allow climbers to traverse over to the area where the downclimbs descend. I plan on ordering another batch of downclimbs to that this can be put all over the gym! Right now they are located near some of the harder routes on and around the red wall.
-Airscrubber: got this industrial air scrubber to deal with dust and chalk. Still figuring out where it should live but it does have some outlets on it if you want to hook your phone up. I ask that climbers really REALLY watch their chalk usage to we combat this problem! I may revert to liquid chalk only in the future.
-Volumes: probably the most exciting of these new items! These will add more surface area and dimension to my walls, along with many more way to set and climb a route. I can attach holds to various parts of each volume and move the volumes around themselves. Volumes are like the main walls, you can use them to assist your climb and that is not considered cheating!
